Our unique OEM product design and engineering process integrates design thinking with industrial characteristics to enhance the identity of your brand and create functional, competitive products. Creating analog and digital instruments for scuba and public safety is a challenge, which is exactly why our transparent design process was created to guide project development.
As outlined below, our design process underpins everything we do to bridge the gap between conception and production. Whether we are designing custom components to be used in an SCBA system or creating a fully realized product offering, we are committed to creating products that go beyond your requirements.
We want to understand your brand’s priorities, so we work closely as a partner to ensure any product we develop with you fully fits within your requirements.
We first define what kind of product we need to develop and understand what resource limitations are in place. During this process, we hold several rounds of discussions with your product team to create a clear roadmap and schedule to track the movement of the project while considering the allocated budget and timeline.
During this stage, we work with you to either develop a ‘clean sheet’ design that matches your company brand guidelines and design spirit, or alternatively, we can create a refreshed design based on an existing product in your catalog. We can also leverage our own in-house product templates to create something new.

After we define the product, we can begin to draft our engineering drawings to map out the mechanical design of the product, material requirements, and exact dimensions. Our mechanical engineers work diligently with our industrial designers to conceptually sketch out the product appearance and develop a 3D model render to account for the specifications and physical dimensions of the product. At this stage, our goal is to create a near final look and prepare any artwork required. The timing of this process will mostly depend on the complexity of the product and whether we are creating a clean sheet design or refreshing a currently existing product.
Once the product drawings and component parts are designed, we will work closely with our network of suppliers to create samples parts/components to build final prototypes for testing. Within our Engineering and R&D Department, we rigorously inspect, study, and test individual components to identify imperfections and ways to improve on materials/product finishing. This iterative process usually involves working closely with our network of machining and injection molding vendors in Taiwan. After redesigned components are delivered, we will again go through a period of testing to understand whether components conform with our high standard of quality and assemble the final prototype for final testing.

After receiving approval of the tested product sample, we move into the mass production phase. For finished goods where assembly is required, our assembly and packaging specialists will build and package the product in line with our quality control process to drop ship where needed.
