Low pressure hoses are used to supply compressed air from the tank cylinder to regulators for breathing air at intermediate pressure.
First stage regulators customarily come with 4 low pressure port holes to connect a second stage regulator hose.
High pressure hoses are connected to analog/digital instrumentation to accurately monitor remaining air pressure in tank cylinders.
First stage regulators can come equipped with either one or two HP port holes to connect instrumentation and transmitters for wireless connection to dive computers/consoles.
Rubber hoses have been the traditional choice for safety use due to the natural strength and durability of industrial strength synthetic rubber.
Braided hoses are the newer entry to hose materials, offering a lightweight and more flexible outer weaving that replaces traditional rubber.
